Celebrating Amazing South African Things!
After having a tooth extracted, locally in the small town where I live, I got very ill. And as a way to actually make myself better I took a drive away from my family and my work and I went up in to the Klein Karoo. Which is a little like going in to the dessert if you don't know it. Its beautiful.
I went to a labyrinthe based just out side of Barrydale. It has been built by two amazing people and out of the generosity of thier hearts they allow people to go and walk it, if you make an appointment. These two people also have a baboon rehabilitation sanctuary and a homeapathic clinic. In my opinion they are good good people.
Whilst walking around the labyrinth I could hear the baboons calling me, it was good to do it, to walk and have that space. However when I got to the middle of the labyrinth, where I was supposed to sit and meditate, I got attacked by a colony of ants, so anyone watching would have actually seen me dancing around the place. The weird thing was was that when I moved to another, ant free space, they all followed me! It made me laugh perhaps that was what I was meant to do that morning, actually laugh.
